DINS LA BOIRA
La Panadella is a declined customer service town that had knows better times in the XX century. It’s a frontier and crossing place located in the middle of Catalonia. For years It was the entrance door to Barcelona and a landmark for truck drivers, travellers and black marketeers. Any vehicle that went from Barcelona to the rest of the spanish north region, or vice versa, reached them crossing through the Panadella pass. Currently just a trace of what It used to be remains in the place. A highway built just next la Panadella and the economic crisis have stolen to la Panadella the role what used to play.
Dins la boira talks about the culture represented by places in an obsolescence process. Nowadays the society paradigms are renovation and flexibility, so places out of renovation are useless. To document places in an extinction process is a memory and acknowledgement act. It is an identity exercise inspired by the inevitable defeat of a landscape, a time and a culture that is being replaced.
